After lunch, our journey continues with a visit to the National Museum of Bhutan. Set within the historical Ta Dzong, a 17th-century watchtower, the museum offers a captivating exploration of Bhutan's unique history. Wander through the exhibits showcasing antique artifacts, unraveling the intriguing tales woven into the fabric of this remarkable kingdom. Embarking on a scenic drive to Thimphu, the capital city.We make a brief stop to stretch our legs and immerse ourselves in the spiritual ambiance of Tagcho Lhakhang, experiencing its rich spiritual values. The day unfolds with visits to cultural landmarks such as the National Memorial Chorten, the National Textile Museum, and the Folk Heritage Museum. Guests have the opportunity to witness the evening session of the Paro Tshechu in Thimphu, creating an immersive experience in Bhutan's festive spirit. A visit to Thimphu's local markets and shops adds an extra layer of cultural exploration, and the evening is left free for guests to enjoy the unique ambiance of the capital city. Overnight accommodations are in Thimphu.
Embarking on a scenic drive to Punakha via the breathtaking Dochula Pass, guests are treated to panoramic Himalayan views. The day's highlights include a visit to Punakha Dzong, a riverside fortress of immense historical significance, and an exploration of the Punakha Suspension Bridge. Evening relaxation and dinner at the hotel round off the day's activities.
Embarking on an early morning drive from Paro, we head to the trailhead for a 2-3 hour trek to the breathtaking Tiger's Nest monastery. En route, savor traditional tea at the halfway point, soaking in the scenic beauty. After reaching the monastery, immerse yourself in its awe-inspiring surroundings.
Following the trek, we descend for a satisfying lunch and, time permitting, visit the sacred Kyichu Lhakhang. Returning to Paro in the late afternoon, take a leisurely stroll through the town, indulging in shopping for souvenirs and gifts for your loved ones.
